What music means to me

Sure I could say the thing everyone says, “Music is my life” and be done with it. But I won’t. Because music means a lot more to me than that. Honestly, I have no clue how to read music. I don’t know how to play any instrument. I can’t sing. I can’t even lip-synch for the  most part. And when it comes to the technicals of music. I know almost nothing. (Aside from making it sound good coming out of the speakers)

But honestly all of that means nothing to me. I find that not knowing any of those things, I enjoy music more. It’s more of a magical experience for me. Normally I’d be jumping around and grabbing book after book to read and learn, but music is the one thing I don’t think I ever want to truly learn. The magic and mystery behind it (at least to me) is what makes me love it more.

I also have a weird way of seeing music. Yeah, I said seeing. Since I was little I’ve been “seeing” music. And no that doesn’t mean I’ve been taking drugs since I was little. Even though what I’m about to try and describe is borderline druggie stuff.

…more to come as I think
